CHAIRS
Interior design realised in Fremantle.
Tub Chairs restored, lacquered and gilded, with cabriole legs in Louis XV style. The tub chair, or bergère in French, was designed in the 18th century to be moved about to suit convenience, rather than being arranged permanently.
They are also known as ‘easy chairs’ or ‘barrel chairs’.
Material: walnut wood, gold gilt, silk damask fabric with floral pattern.
Stools are purposely simple shapes, so as not to contrast but to enhance the highly detailed Louis XV style.
Stools and pillows fabric is ‘Orleans’ range in Hibiscus, Honey and Moss from Warwick fabrics.
The ‘Orleans’ range is a sumptuous selection in both texture and tone.
Black polycarbonate disc 35 cm radius can be placed over any bolster turning into an occasional table. Polycarbonate is considered almost unbreakable, giving it a very clear advantage over glass in safety.
